In your own words, what do you do?
I take photos, I write, I manage and create content for a few different companies.
What are you working on right now?
Planning some big changes in my personal life that I hope will inspire me in new ways. Saying yes to fewer things so that I can spend more time pursuing what I’m passionate about.
When did you shoot the roll?
November 2018
Where did you shoot the roll?
Auckland and the Coromandel, New Zealand
1.
Take a frame at first light
Sunrise from the Pinnacles summit on the Kauaeranga Kauri Trail in the Coromandel. Always a magical moment seeing first light over the mountains.
2.
Shoot your favourite tree
I love tree ferns! Walking through a fern forest makes me feel like I’ve stepped back in time.
3.
Take a self-portrait outside
Looking west from the top of Mount Eden, one of the many volcanoes in the middle of Auckland City.
4.
Shoot a space you feel creative in
Anywhere outdoors. I always have my best ideas when I’m out walking. The sand under my feet and the sound of the ocean calm my mind and help me think.
5.
Shoot the weather
Warm enough to have an iceblock after a hike.
6.
Photograph someone you love
I often wonder how I got lucky enough to have so many amazing friends. Here are just a few of them.
7.
Shoot a stranger
Felt a little creepy taking this. I don’t normally photograph strangers but I liked this mystery couple.
8.
Shoot your backyard
View of the city from the top of Mt Eden. Technically not my backyard, but I can easily walk here from my house.
9.
Shoot the contents of your bag
What I take when I’m out hiking. Oats for breakfast!
10.
Shoot something that makes you happy
Coming home to this wonderful cat, her name is Chickpea.
11.
Shoot the last light
Sunset from the Pinnacles.
12.
Shoot yourself before bed
Oh baby it’s a wide world.
