In your own words, what do you do?
Film | Photography | Ceramics
What are you working on right now?
A series of spots for Swinburne’s ACMI partnership, two short docos and a handful of content pieces.
When did you shoot the roll?
On a location shoot in late Feb. It was an early start and a late finish but a very rewarding day all in all.
Where did you shoot the roll?
Northcote, a few spots east of Lilydale and Rosebud.
What did you shoot the roll on?
A fixed 2.8, gold MJU-ii that I fixed up after pulling it out of a recycling centre bin about eight years ago. The name ‘Jacques’ is etched into it.
No. 1
Take a frame at first light

I had to wait to take this one; we were up at 3 a.m. to reach the first location before sunrise.
No. 2
Shoot your favourite tree

I’ve lived next to this tree for 6 years.
No. 3
Take a self-portrait outside

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No.4
Shoot a space you feel creative in

First location for the day, super inspiring to be with hard-working, talented people working on a fun project. Also, cows.
No.5
Shoot the weather

The moon was out all day long, it was hot and those clouds were welcome.
No.6
Photograph someone you love

My wife and kid, 2 for 1 deal.
No.7
Shoot a stranger

Aimee – the subject of the shoot for the day.
No.8
Shoot your backyard

I like growing veggies, this is either zucchini or a pumpkin.
No.9
Shoot the contents of your bag

This was the contents of my bag, until I had to check rushes.
No.10
Something that makes you happy

Oy.
No.11
Shoot the last light

From where I’d rather be.
No.12
Shoot yourself before bed

My son, Will, opened the back of the camera the next day – I like it.
